Kitchen Gadgets

We have been building up our kitchen gadget collection for the past few years, and now we’ve got an electric appliance for just about everything. Some of these items have been with us for more than our RVing lives.

We’re all about making life easy and inexpensive, which usually means buying through Amazon (but we’ll tell you if we find a better deal!).

Don’t worry, these links aren’t going to cost you anything extra, but we do get a small fee when you use them, and hey every little bit helps! If we forgot something or you have any questions, please send us a message here. For more information on this items listed, click the + next to the titles or check out our blog.

Thanks for stopping by and happy lurking!

+ Coffee and Tea

Some may call us coffee snobs, but we prefer the term enthusiasts. Coffee has been an ongoing theme in our lives since the day we met…Literally, we met working at a coffee shop. We’ve spent so much of our personal and professional lives learning about coffee and tea, it’s no wonder these gadgets are at the top of our list.

Our electric kettle has been with us for over three years now, and it’s the most convenient way to heat water in the RV. We recommend getting one with a variable temperature, if you’re going to be drinking tea as well.

We typically use a French Press or a Clever for our morning coffee. We also have a small burr grinder that we’ve had for about four years. Now you can’t possibly make the perfect cup of coffee or tea without a scale. We use this little battery powered scale for all sorts of recipes and of course our daily coffee.

If you’re a tea fan, we recommend getting a handy-brewer. These are super easy to use and clean!

And while you’re out seeing the country, pick up some locally roasted coffee beans!

+ Cooking and Baking

Being camp hosts, we have free electricity, so we try not to use our propane appliances. We may not use our oven, but we cook almost every day in our RV.

One of our first purchases in the RV was the Ninja All-in-One Cooking System. It’s a crock pot, an oven, and a stovetop. We’ve baked bread in it, fried eggs, boiled pasta, made queso, soup, and the list goes on. It does tend to increase the moisture in your food, and sometimes burns the bottom of things. Other than that, it’s basically perfect.

Our newest gadget, is our Air-Fryer. This thing is AMAZING! It cuts cooking time way down, and basically work as a convection oven (wish our RV came with one of those). The best thing is it makes fries! And you don’t feel so guilty eating them because they aren’t cooked in a vat of oil.

Our electric burner is something that we’ve started using more recently. It heats up super quickly - faster than the Ninja. The Ninja Blender we have is no longer being made, because we bought it so long ago. Below is a similar model, and I have to say Ninja makes a great blender!

+ Drink Accesories

To make the perfect cup of tea or gin and soda, you’ll need to start with the water. We have a great little water filter just for this purpose.

The SodaStream was one of the best purchases we made. This little thing get used every day and it will last many years.

Plastic wine glasses were a must after I (Chelsea) broke all of our glass ones. These are great for RVing anyway!
